Volunteer tutors make a difference!  Please volunteer to support students' academic success through the Haven Tutoring Network! In just an hour a week, you can make a difference in a student's life by volunteering to tutor during the school day.

The Haven Tutoring Network has been a valued resource for 14 years with the support of parent and community volunteers. Volunteers are matched with a teacher and student(s) who need assistance in math, language arts, social studies or science.

To volunteer, please sign up through the Haven Tutoring Network or complete the volunteer form and submit it in the Tutoring Network mailbox in Haven's main office.

If you have questions, please email the Haven Tutoring Network Coordinators:

We are looking forward to another successful year with Evanston School Children's Clothing Association (ESCCA)!
Since 1931 ESCCA has been serving the community through its simple mission: "No District 65 child should miss a day of school for need of warm clothing." Each year, we serve roughly 700 children in grades K-8 who attend District 65 schools.

To volunteer for ESCCA, please click  HERE    to sign up for a date to assist families as they choose clothing for their children. The first date is coming up quickly - September 24! For other ways to volunteer (sorting clothes, washing, mending, etc.), please go to  www.escca.org .

To donate clothing to ESCCA, please see this LIST of acceptable donations. Donations can be brought to the ESCCA drop box on the west side of the JEH Building or to the ESCCA bin in Haven's main office.
Thank you so much for your help! Let us know if you have any questions.

District 65 offers Boy's and Girl's (6th, 7th and 8th grade): Basketball, Volleyball, and Soccer. I do not have exact dates and times for games and schedules. Once the district sends the game schedules to me, the coaches can put together practice schedules. Also, all sports have "cuts," depending on the number of kids trying-out, we do not keep every kid trying out. Each sport has a 6th grade team, a JV or Varsity. Depending on our numbers trying-out will determine how the district wants to disperse the teams. All this information will be sent to you, once I get more information from the district. (Commitment days are typically Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays)

Boy's Soccer & Girl's Volleyball

(Volleyball) Typically games and practices are Mondays - Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school. ***There maybe a couple of practices in the morning on those days, usually starting at 7am***

Girls soccer Try-outs during the week of March 30-April 3, 2020

Exact times will be announced once we get closer to the season.

Students are required to take the bus to and from games, from Haven and back to Haven. They cannot take their own bikes or walk to games. Parents can pick their kids up from games, all we ask is that you communicate and sign your kid out with the coaches. You can also carpool other kids, as long as the coach is communicated with.

Each student that participates pays an $80 fee per sport. If you are on free or reduced lunch, the district provides a scholarship.

Uniforms are provided, but must be returned at the end of the season. Lost or damaged uniforms are subject to an $80 replacement fee.
