Havertown welcomes authentic Italian cuisine
to Oakmont Village

Check out their menu at langolo-west.com
L’Angolo West opened in June at 26 East Eagle Road and has already garnered a great deal of attention and a following of loyal customers.  The restaurant owners pride themselves on their authentic Italian dishes and exciting new offerings.  Signature dishes include pappardelle (a ribbon shaped pasta) with brazed duck, homemade gnocchi, and grilled calamari.

Owners Kathryn and Davide Faenza met over twenty years ago while working at a restaurant.  Kathryn, who grew up in East Falls and has a degree in Fine Arts, was working as a server during college when she met chef Davide, who had immigrated from Italy.

They opened L’Angolo on W. Porter Street in South Philly in 2000.  As two-time Best of Philly award winners, the restaurant owners had been looking for a second location for a few years.
“Business in Havertown has been great,” claims Kathryn, “The community has been really welcoming to us, both our customers and fellow business owners.  We already have many regulars who we know by name!”

HPED recently hosted one of its First Wednesday Dining Club events at L’Angolo West.  “The food was plentiful and delicious,” organizer Don Kelly noted.  “For several people it was their first time, and they can’t wait to go back!”

Median Planters on Darby Road in Llanerch Taking Shape
Have you noticed the Public Works Department installing the raised planter beds on Darby Road?  These are two of four that will be installed and planted this spring with help from HPED.

"In addition to beautification projects in our business districts, we hope to tackle some of the less attractive public areas in the Township over the next few years," explains HPED Business Development Manager Jeanne Angell.

"This strip of Darby Road, with the vast expanse of concrete both in the median and on the wall next to the Llanerch School, will be enhanced by adding some greenery."
Facebook Tips
Facebook can be a great tool for your business as you build relationships with your clients and spread both your name and your reputation.  If your business does not have a facebook page, you are missing out on some great opportunities.

One example is the chance for small business owners to post on the Havertown Community Group page on the 10th of every month.  Frequently resident members of the group make positive comments on these posts and share them on their own pages.  This is a group of nearly 6000 members, so make use of that service.  It is a closed group, so you will have to join first, and then put the 10th on your calendar!
