HPED hosts Meet and Greet at the new Kelly Center! Thanks to Tom Kelly and The Kelly Center for hosting our last Meet & Greet on June 12th, with over 60 people in attendance It was a great chance to network with Township staff and commissioners and other businesses and meet the new Township Manager, David Burman. Guests also were able to see the newly renovated Kelly Center! The HPED staff and board thanks everyone who came for a wonderful event, and hopes to see everyone at the Breakfast Meet & Greet at the Library on September 19th! An Office for HPED! HPED has just moved into it's first office, at 412 Darby Road in Llanerch! We completed renovations to the space, thanks to pro bono work from board member Gina Ranieri and Ranieri & Kerns! Stay tuned for an invitation to our Open House!

Welcome to our new Township Manager! Welcome to our new Township Manager, David Burman, who joined the staff in May. David has over thirty years of experience in administration and management, including nearly twenty years in the public sector. He has an MBA from The Fox School at Temple University, and most recently was Township Manager in Willistown Township. David lives in Media with his wife Jessica and two young children. HPED looks forward to working with David as we partner with the Township!

Welcome to the new Manoa Tavern! HPED welcomes the new Manoa Tavern to Haverford Township. Jim Griesser, one of the owners, is a Havertown local from the Brookline section. Last month, he reopened the newly renovated Manoa Tavern at 8 N. Manoa Rd. Jim decided to open a local establishment because of the renaissance of the bar/restaurant industry he has seen in Havertown over the past few years. He selected The Manoa Tavern due to its great location, walkability, and the need for something new in that section of town. By redeveloping the tavern, he hopes to offer a welcoming space for everyone in the community. Jim said that one of his goals was to “create a corner pub atmosphere with really exceptional food.” Read More

Free Stormwater Planters or Rain Gardens Haverford businesses can request a free storm water flow through planter if they have downspouts in a visible, paved location on their business property or rain gardens if they have a suitable location. A limited number of planters will be available to good locations under a pilot program organized by the Environmental Advisory Committee and funded by the Haverford Township Civic Council. Read More
