Welcome to Saget's Formal Wear
HPED Welcomes Saget’s Formal Wear to Haverford Township. Owner Jimmy Buchakjian moved his formal wear business to 1248 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill in March 2019. After 35 years in his previous location in Drexel Hill, Jimmy knew it was time for a change. His ever growing business needed more space and a new fresh look to keep up with the exciting changes in his store.

Growing up in Havertown and being a proud graduate of Haverford High, class of ’77, Jimmy has always loved the friendliness and sense of community you find here. His parents owned and operated two dry cleaning businesses in Delaware County for over 50 years. As a third generation tailor, Jimmy decided to expand the family business into the formal wear industry. With an eye for detail and a love of design, Jimmy has taken Saget’s beyond your average tuxedo rental company to a niche men’s wear store which includes custom made shirts and suits. His goal is to let every groom customize their own unique wedding day look to make it truly their own. Saget’s offers “day of wedding” service, which includes having a personal dresser on location and they will even deliver and pick up all the tuxedos for the entire bridal party.

Being an industry leader has its perks. Last year, Jimmy and his team were able to complete custom made suits for Philadelphia Eagles Center Jason Kelce and his brother Travis Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, for each of their weddings. In addition to wedding attire and custom made options, Sagets also accommodates Prom rentals and formal wear for every special occasion. For more information about Saget’s, please visit their website at www.sagets.com

Senior Citizen Discount Day
Haverford Partnership for Economic Development (HPED), in conjunction with the Township's Senior Citizen Advisory Board, is creating a Senior Citizen Discount Day. Seniors aged 65 and older are eligible for the discount, which will be 10% off on Tuesdays.

Participating businesses can be stores, restaurants or services (hair salon, car wash, bowling, oil change, etc.).

NOTE: Businesses must have publicly advertised prices (not services that provide estimates for each job individually).

Businesses that register here will be listed in a brochure that seniors can use for shopping and dining in the Township. The brochure will be posted on the Discover Haverford website, on Facebook, and printed for distribution at participating business. It will be updated periodically to allow businesses to join or leave the program. HPED will advertise the program throughout the community.

Businesses will benefit by drawing in new customers on a day which is traditionally slower than other days of the week.
