Clean water for God's thirsty children
Let's All Have A Good Time
For A Great Cause
Join Us Today at
The Village Anchor

The Village Anchor – Celebrity Host event is their way of giving back to nonprofits in the Louisville area.

During the dinner shift today (from 5-9pm), Water With Blessings will be the host for the evening. We'll receive a percentage no matter what, but if we can get 100 people to participate, 10% of the night's total revenue will be donated to us. That number includes each member of a group or family.

We hope you can join us in to celebrate and support our life-changing efforts in the US and around the world. Village Anchor is located at 11507 Park Road in Anchorage, Kentucky, 40223. The phone number is (502) 708-1850. You can also visit their website at:

There's lots of outdoor seating, but take out orders will also count towards the donation.

And remember, if you're undecided about what to order, Sr. Larraine's favorites are Buffalo Chili and the Fried Brussel Sprout Salad.

And yes, we’ll be at the door greeting guests with Swag Bags and telling them about Water With Blessings.

Please join us. We're going to have a really good time while providing clean water to God's thirsty children.
NOT in the LOUISVILLE AREA?

Thanks for your patience with our focus on local fundraising efforts. Maybe you know of a restaurant in your area that would offer a similar event...these are increasingly popular these days! We're happy to help you set something up: just contact Debbie@waterwithblessings.org
Give for Good Louisville: An Opportunity to Double Your Donation
(Even If You Live Somewhere Else)

Give For Good Louisville 2020, sponsored by the Community Foundation of Louisville, takes place on September 17. It highlights the great work being done by area nonprofit organizations, and focuses on the need to do well by doing good.

You don't even have to live in Kentucky to take advantage of this great opportunity. Simply click the link below, and you will find a link to Give for Good Louisville 2020 on the front page of the Water With Blessings website. Remember, it's just one day:
September 17, starting at 12:01 am!

And once again, anonymous donors and a charitable foundation have stepped forward to double your donation with a matching gift towards a total of $15,000. Please consider taking advantage of their generosity and the opportunity to add to the number of Water Women serving their families and communities around the world.

Keep watching our website for more information as we get closer to the date. We thank you once again, and may God bless you for your generosity.
The #WHYIGIVE Donor Challenge

New this year is a pre-giving day challenge. Donors and community members may submit their answer to the question “Why I give...” for the chance to be featured in the Community Foundation’s social media campaign leading up to the giving day and a chance to win $250 for the nonprofit of their choice. All submissions for the challenge will be put into a randomizer and selected, with the awards going to the nonprofits during the giving day. At least 20 $250 prizes will be awarded.

This would be another great way for the Water With Blessings family
to participate in Give for Good Louisville 2020.
In a video recorded earlier this year, Tammy Reid talked about why she gives to Water With Blessings. Nearby, she put her message in writing.

This is an example of how you can participate in Why I Give, sponsored by the Community Foundation of Louisville. Please click on the button below and you will be able to fill out the form.

Remember, you could help us win $250. That would underwrite three Water Women, with a little left over.
Why I Give
By Tammy Reid
WWB Board Member

I support the Water with Blessings mission because I am a mother. And a very lucky mother at that.

I did nothing to deserve the absolute privilege of raising my children in a country where clean water runs conveniently out of the tap. I could bathe my children in clean water, wash their dishes and bottles in clean water, cook their food with clean water, mix their formula with clean water, and give them a great big glass of clean water when they were thirsty.

Too many mothers in other countries do not have this privilege and have to worry about the water they give their children when they are thirsty.

I want to recognize my good fortune and help those mothers who did nothing to deserve the misfortune of having to raise their children in a country where clean water being filtered from a bucket of river water is a dream. It is my duty as a privileged mother to make that dream come true.
And please remember: a little bit from a lot of people will go a long way...

We ask you to consider becoming a monthly sustainer, at $12.50 per month. By the end of a year, you will have helped equip and train 2 Water Women, providing clean water to 8 families.

And please, consider forwarding this email to a friend or two!

Because it's a little bit... from a lot of people...will bring more clean water.
Beautifully Decorated Buckets for Water Women
In the Navajo Nation
Check out these beautiful filter buckets that are ready for distribution in the Leupp Chapter of the Navajo Nation.

Monica, a Navajo training collaborator, recruited her children, little brother, and a friend to decorate them with traditional Navajo images.

Thank you to Alexandra, Anthony, Monroe, Adrian, and Nevaeh for sharing your great talents! Special thanks to Kim Sanders and Bakery Team Lead Tanya of Sam's Club in Flagstaff Arizona for donating the buckets!
Where in the world is
this week's Coffee Chat?

You never know where Coffee Chat will take us, even though we don't have to leave the house. Just grab your favorite morning beverage, turn on the computer or grab your tablet, and sign on for prayer, fellowship, and adventure.

This week we head to Zambia to explore our new partnership there. We hope Fr. Ogato can join us to tell us all about his parish in Ndola, where we will be starting a new project of 60 Water Women.

And remember, you can start your own coffee chat. You can re-connect with friends you've been missing, or with the Bible study or book group that hasn't been able to meet.

Water With Blessings will host a Coffee Chat for you!

  • We provide the Zoom license and all the set up.
  • You just make an appointment, alert family and friends, and send them the link.
  • You can lead the chat, or we can help you out -- whichever you prefer.
  • Catch up, share, pray... whatever, however you wish.

All we ask is that you give some time to talking about God’s thirsty children and Water With Blessings... and why you support our mission!

If you would like more information, please call our office, or email us at debbie@waterwithblessings.org
We believe every child should be drinking clean water. Are you with us?
