As some of you may know, I am a musician and a motorcyclist. When I was in the touring club, the Road Toads, back in the seventies, we would pack our bikes and go off to some great spot and camp overnight. If there was no backup truck, my brother Tommy and I would put our guitars on the back of our bikes, plus all of our gear, and ride to the camp spot. As long as everything was strapped securely, the motorcycles handled fine.
Playing music and singing throughout the night around the campfire are some of my fondest memories. Not only would our club members enjoy the music, but people would come from other campsites to listen also. It was just so much fun to play and see everyone enjoying, and of course, we would be indulging in some beers and singing our hearts out.
Motorcycle touring doesn’t have to cost a lot! We sure didn’t have much money back then, and the club toured almost every weekend.
Life is just too short, so use that beautiful motorcycle of yours to have fun in so many ways. The wonderful memories will last you a lifetime!
