We certainly don’t have to tell you all that there are a LOT of barriers to justice and opportunity in our country. NLADA is committed to eliminating these barriers through transformative leadership and bold, innovative solutions. We will be sharing a lot of engaging details and material around this theme in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes on your inboxes and social media feeds.
NLADA Annual Conference attendees were excited to become NLADA Social Media Ambassadors!
But first, we need your help! Will you help us share our message far and wide this end of year season? Become a NLADA Social Media Ambassador when you follow, like, and re-post NLADA materials on Twitter and Facebook . You can also can also create your own fundraiser on behalf of NLADA on Facebook, inviting your friends, families, and networks to join our cause!

You may be reading this thinking, “Why me? Will my little Facebook fundraiser really make a difference in safeguarding justice?”

Absolutely! Your people are MUCH more likely to make a donation when they know you are asking. They’ll care because you care. In fact, social media campaigns now account for 1/3 of all online donations.
All you have to do is follow some quick and easy steps!
  1. Log in to your personal Facebook account.
  2. Click ‘Fundraisers’ in the left hand menu of your News Feed (webview) or in the menu on the bottom right of your mobile application.
  3. Click ‘Raise Money.’
  4. Select ‘Nonprofit/Charity.’
  5. Search for and select NLADA or National Legal Aid & Defender Association.
  6. Determine how much money you want to raise. We recommend starting at $200.
  7. Mark when your fundraiser should end. We recommend capitalizing on end of year generosity and marking December 31, 2018.
  8. Describe why you are raising money. Don’t be afraid to get personal in sharing why NLADA and equal access to justice matters to you.
  9. Pick a cover photo.
  10. Click ‘Create.’
  11. Remind your friends about your ongoing campaign from time to time

We hope you will create this fundraiser between today and Giving Tuesday, November 27th – the international day of giving back. On Giving Tuesday we will all flood our networks with invitations to safeguard justice with personal donations of any amount. Along with PayPal, Facebook is matching up to $7 million in donations!

It is easy, fun, and will make a big difference for NLADA and our shared mission of equal justice!
