Proper 21
O God, you declare your almighty power chiefly in showing mercy and pity: Grant us the fullness of your grace, that we, running to obtain your promises, may become partakers of your heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Celebrating 70 Years and Sharing Aloha in Taiwan
In a posting on social media, Bishop Robert Fitzpatrick shared the following post a couple days ago: "Bishop Lennon Yuan-Rung Chang and Catherine Lee (the photographer) met us bright and early at the Taipei Airport. Bea Fitzpatrick and I are blessed to join in the 70th anniversary of the Episcopal Diocese of Taiwan. Once a part of the Missionary District of Honolulu, The Episcopal Diocese of Hawai'i and Taiwan share a long history. We are family — ‘Ohana."
The main 70th celebration will take place this weekend, and the Bishop will be back in Hawai'i on October 3, in time for Convention 56. Pictured above left are Taiwan Bishop, Lennon Yuan-Rung Chang, with Bishop Bob and Bea on their arrival; above right, at their welcome lunch with Catherine Lee (Church Mission Society) and host Mrs. Hannah Chang. Below, they spent time with the foks at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Chiayi, and below right, with Archdeacon Simon Tsou, and gifts from the Diocese of Hawai'i.
