Dear Colleagues,
I am excited to share that Evelyn De Jesus-Quiles will transition into the role of Assistant Dean of Finance, Administration and Facilities, as she succeeds Jackie Novak, who has moved on to an exciting new opportunity. We are grateful for Jackie’s service and wish her the very best.
Since joining CHSS in 2022, after several years of service to the former College of Education and Human Services, Evelyn has played a central role in strengthening our administrative and operational functions. In her current role as Director of Operations and Administrative Affairs, Evelyn has overseen academic department operations, guided staff development, implemented processes to improve efficiency, and supported budgetary, facilities, and personnel efforts across the entire College.
Given her current responsibilities and the scope of this new position, this transition will ensure strong continuity in the budget, finance and administrative areas that are essential to our day-to-day operation. Evelyn’s experience, institutional knowledge and leadership within the College make her well-prepared to step into this new role.
I have enjoyed working with Evelyn and have come to appreciate her insight, her problem-solving skills, and her sense of ownership. She cultivates a culture of accountability and high expectations that shine through any project she is involved with. I am confident that Evelyn will excel in this new position and expand her contributions to CHSS.
