HAWK TALK

Dec 16-20

1st Grade's Gingerbread Men

Oh, no! It was a kitchen calamity conundrum! First graders made gingerbread men, put them in the oven to bake, and when they returned, discovered that the gingerbread men had disappeared! Where could they be? (One of the students thought Chef Bob ate them.)

Students made "Wanted" posters

to help find the missing gingerbread men.

"Please let us know if you have seen this gingerbread man from first grade." "You can't catch me I'm the gingerbread man."

After escapades and adventures, the gingerbread men

returned on Friday! It was a Christmas miracle!

4th Graders:

What was the best part of your week?

  • The egg drop build. We get to test them next week!
  • Art class - I liked making the Starry Night picture.
  • Music class - practicing for the Christmas program
  • Cheer Club (looking forward to Cheer Club today)
  • Math class because we're learning 4-digit multiplication
  • Music - I like singing Christmas songs and I'm looking forward to the Christmas program.
  • I liked figuring out how to make my egg drop build. We had to look for things around the house to use.
  • It didn't happen this week, but I'm looking forward to playing my role in the Annie musical.

Coaches Notes

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making WCA Spirit Night a resounding success. The energy in the building created an unforgettable experience for our athletes and fans alike.

It was another outstanding week of competition for your Hawks basketball teams. Our ladies continued their impressive dominance, remaining undefeated in conference play, while our young men extended their own winning streak with strong performances.

Looking ahead, we have two exciting opportunities to support our teams this week. On Monday, we will welcome Scholars Academy to the Hawks Nest for a non-conference matchup. Then on Tuesday, we return to conference play as we host Grace Covenant. We look forward to seeing you there to cheer on your Hawks!

For information, please contact Jared Sanders - Athletic Director.
