A Letter from Mrs. Leebrick
February 28, 2026
Dear WCA Families,
This week, our lower school celebrates Read Across America Week, a special time dedicated to honoring the power of reading and the lifelong impact of literacy. Throughout the week, students will engage in themed reading days, classroom activities, and shared storytelling experiences designed to spark imagination and deepen their love for books.
Reading opens doors to new worlds, nurtures creativity, and builds the skills students need to learn, grow, and lead. Whether students are exploring beloved classics, discovering new authors, or reading alongside friends and teachers, each page turned strengthens their confidence and curiosity.
We invite families to join the celebration at home by sharing a favorite book, visiting the library, or setting aside time to read together. Together, we are building a vibrant community of readers and celebrating the joy, wonder, and power found within the pages of a book.
Sowing Seeds,
Alexus Leebrick, M.Ed
