Boys Basketball Tournament

Come Cheer on the Hawks this weekend!

The WCA boys basketball team is playing in a one-day tournament on Saturday, Jan. 14 at Covenant Day School. If you would like to attend, details are below:

* Admission Cost for all Tourney Guests = $3 (Kids age 6 & under get in free). Admission is good for ALL games. 

* The concession stand will be basic snacks & drinks & ChickFila Sandwiches (not full meals

* Covenant Day Varsity Gym is the host for ALL Games. 200 Covenant Church Ln. Matthews, NC

Hawks Heroes Breakfast 

January 27th, at 7:30 am in the Family Life Center. 

All WCA students are welcome to invite a special male role model (dad, grandfather, uncle, neighbor, friend, etc.) to breakfast on Friday, January 27th, at 7:30 am in the Family Life Center. It's fun, it's FREE, and you'll strengthen your relationship at the same time!

This is Your Brain on Screens 

Tuesday, February 7, 6:30pm-8pm in the Gym

WCA's very own Dr. Jen Potter will lead parents in an evening focused on screens and how they affect your child's brain. This event will empower parents to make positive changes and help their families become responsible digital citizens.

WCA Golf Coach Needed

WCA is currently searching for a golf coach. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Linda Hastings at [email protected] as soon as possible (or by Jan. 15). Practices would start in February with matches in March through early May. If your student athlete is interested in playing, please let Mrs. Hastings know as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: WCA families have until January 16^th to finish their enrollment process. After that date, enrollment opens to the public, and we cannot guarantee your child’s space at WCA next year.

Night to Shine 2023

Weddington Church - Family Life Center

Weddington Church is excited to host Night to Shine, sponsored by @TimTebowFoundation! Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs, ages 14 and older. The church is blessed to be a part of this growing worldwide movement through the local church where thousands of people with special needs will be celebrated, given the royal treatment and reminded of God’s love for them!
