Important reminders for the end of the school year:


  • ALL OUTSTANDING BALANCES (lunch, tuition, incidental expenses) must be paid before WCA releases IOWA test results and report cards.


  • MEDICATION must be picked up by a parent no later than May 21st.  Unclaimed medication will be discarded.


  • AFTERSCHOOL KEY CARDS must be turned in by May 22 or a $10 charge will be billed to parent's Facts account.


  • All LIBRARY BOOKS are to be returned no later than May 16th.


  • MISSING LIBRARY BOOKS Report cards will be held until books are returned or paid for.


  • REPLACEMENT FEES FOR LOST BOOKS:

-Small-medium size have a $5.00 replacement fee.

-Larger books (e.g. Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs) have a $10 fee.

North Carolina BBQ Lunch

Thursday, May 15th

PRE-ORDERS ONLY!


THE DEADLINE TO ORDER IS SUNDAY, MAY 11.


Chef Bob will prepare a special BBQ lunch on Thursday, May 15.

It is available as PRE-ORDER ONLY!

Lunch orders will not be taken on that day.


Lunch includes:

  • BBQ sandwich
  • Mac n cheese
  • Green beans
  • Cornbread
  • Moon Pie

EC and 1st-8th grades


Students will need the following:


  • All students should wear the Healthy Hawks t-shirt they received for the Fun Run in March
  • (Note: Students on the “white” team should wear a tank top or t-shirt underneath their Healthy Hawks shirt in case they get wet.)
  • Sunscreen should be applied at home
  • A beach towel
  • A water bottle
  • A ball cap or sun hat


Parents are invited to join their students at 12 pm for lunch and stay for afternoon activities.

Rising 6th Grade Open House for WMC Youth Group

Sunday, May 19, 4 p.m., Weddington Campus Youth Center  

 

The Youth Ministry Team is hosting an open house for rising 6th graders and their parents! Join us for an informal time to meet the team, learn about the program and upcoming activities, and ask any questions you may have. 

After the open house, rising 6th graders are invited to stay for Sunday Night Youth from 5:30–7:15 p.m. This is a great opportunity to connect with other students and get a preview of what Youth Ministry is all about.

  • Miss Schulz joining our class! (This was the overwhelming response. Miss Schulz was third grade's beloved student teacher.)
