A Letter from the Principal

November 15, 2025

Week of Giving: “Fill Hearts, Fill Baskets!”

This special week invites our students to put their faith into action as we come together to bless others through generosity and service. Our theme this year, “Fill Hearts, Fill Baskets!”, encourages every student to make a difference by sharing what they have with those in need.

Throughout the week, students will enjoy Spirit Days while bringing in nonperishable food and hygiene items to support families served by The Community Shelter of Union County. Together, we will “fill baskets” with essentials while “filling hearts” with kindness and compassion.

An Additional Way to Give

Families who wish to give financially may also contribute to the WCA Hawk Fund during the Week of Giving. The Hawk Fund directly supports our students, teachers, and programs, helping WCA continue to provide excellent, Christ-centered education and outreach opportunities like this one.

Donations to the Hawk Fund can be made through our school website or by sending contributions to the front office marked “Hawk Fund: Week of Giving.”

Your generosity makes a lasting impact, not only in the lives of those served by The Community Shelter of Union County, but also in the hearts of our students as they experience the joy of giving. Thank you for helping WCA live out our mission of growing faithful, compassionate leaders who serve others with Christ-like love.

WCA Hawk Fund

Thank You for Supporting WCA!

During our Week of Giving, we ask every WCA family to consider a gift to the Hawk Fund, our primary fundraising effort.

92% of WCA tuition payments are designated to cover the salaries of WCA staff. The Hawk Fund helps us cover other necessities so that our tuition can remain as low as possible. Over the years, the Hawk Fund has covered :

  • Technology purchases and maintenance
  • Educational technology subscriptions (e.g. IXL, iReady Math)
  • STEAM curriculum
  • Classroom needs
  • Special projects

Our goal for the Week of Giving is 100% WCA family participation. Please click HERE to make your donation.

Coach's Notes

The Hawks basketball teams delivered a perfect 5-0 week, capped by a historic first: the high school boys program defeated The British International School of Charlotte for its first win in program history. The middle school teams earned wins over Calvary Christian and Marvin Academy.

This week, the middle school teams host Covenant Classical in the Hawks Nest on Tuesday and Grace Covenant on Thursday. Be sure to come out and support our student-athletes throughout the week. Go Hawks!
