A Letter from the Principal

Dear WCA Families,

As we enter this season of gratitude, our hearts are reminded of God’s abundant goodness and the many ways He continues to bless our school community. Thanksgiving invites us to slow down, notice His faithfulness, and reflect on the countless gifts, both great and small, that fill our days.

This year, we are especially grateful for the partnership we share with each of you. Your prayers, encouragement, and commitment to your children’s growth help make WCA a place where students are known, loved, and nurtured in Christ. What a joy it is to watch them learn, laugh, and discover more about who God created them to be.

As you gather around your tables this week, may your homes be filled with peace, joy, and the comforting presence of the Lord. May He refresh your spirits, strengthen your families, and remind you of His promises that never fail.

We pray that this Thanksgiving brings moments of rest, connection, and heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for being such an important part of our WCA family. We are truly thankful for you.

On behalf of Weddington Christian Academy, THANK YOU for your generous participation in our WCA Week of Giving. Over the course of the week, our students donated

• More than 750 canned goods
• More than 800 hygiene items
• More than 170 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes
• More than 500 nonperishable food items

In addition, the Hawk Fund received donations totaling $20,400, with a 23% participation rate for WCA families. Thank you!

Remember, it's not too late to give! The Hawk Fund will continue to receive donations throughout the year. Many companies also offer matching gifts as well!

Coach's Notes

As December approaches, our middle school boys' and girls' basketball teams remain undefeated in conference play and are off to an outstanding start to the season.

Our high school boys' team finished November with a 1–1 record, but their schedule intensifies this month with five games over the next three weeks—three of which will be played right here at The Hawks Nest.

There are plenty of chances for our athletes to keep improving and even more opportunities for our community to come out and cheer them on throughout December.
