THANK YOU for giving!
Thank you to everyone who helped WCA celebrate
a special Week of Thanks and Giving!
Students enjoyed their week of gratitude and giving. They dressed up each day with fun Spirit Week themes, showed gratitude by filling up a “Thankful Tree” with blessings from God and other classroom activities; and practiced giving with Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, Caring Socks Day, and filling Thanksgiving Blessings Boxes for families in need.
As special blessings, WCA families were invited to a meaningful Chapel for ES, MS, and HS; and to the special Thanksgiving performance by the JK and Kindergarten students.
With support from WCA families, students donated:
- 202 pairs of socks to Operation Reach Out in Monroe
- 138 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for children worldwide
- 14 Thanksgiving dinners to families in need.
Thanks to your gifts and a generous match from a member of our WCA community, we raised $29,180 for WCA's Hawk Fund this week! These funds will be used to enhance students' educational experiences at WCA throughout the year. Although our Week of Thanks and Giving Campaign has ended, it is not too late to give to the Hawk Fund! Donations are ongoing and can be made anytime by visiting our website at WCA's Annual Fund - Weddington Christian Academy.
Blessings to all the WCA families.
May you have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

WCA'S CHRISTMAS STEAM DAY
Thursday, Dec 5

But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.
- Luke 2:19
Wondrous things happened on the night Jesus was born, as is told in Luke, chapter 2. Surely those are among many wondrous thoughts Mary treasured and pondered in her heart as she beheld her beautiful baby Jesus.
What wondrous things are treasured in your heart?
