There's less than a week until our Winter Wonderland parent/child dance! The PTA Events Committee has been planning this event for months, and braved the tornado warnings last week to put the final touches on it all (including joining the students in enacting the school's safety plan). I cannot wait to hear how much fun you all have with your families and see the pictures you will surely take in the wonderland setting they have designed for you. Please make plans to join in all the fun!

Here's your reminder that tomorrow, Monday, Jan 16th, is when we celebrate the life and work Martin Luther King, Jr. Schools will be closed for the holiday.

We will play a slideshow/video during the Bridging Ceremony that will include photos from the 5th graders' years at HCES. Parents and teachers are asked to submit photos for the slideshow via email to hces.ptaevents.5thgradebridge@gmail.com.

Call for volunteers to help with the Legacy Project! Each year HCES 5th Grade Students construct a project to create a lasting memento for the school before they go to middle school. We will need a team of 5th-grade parent volunteers to see this project through. For more information, or to sign up to help please email Katie Martin at katie.martin@evrealestate.com.
