President's Note
I hope everyone enjoyed the break! This fabulous weather today has me ready for warmer days and summer planning! 8 more weeks to go ~ we got this!!

Our final general meeting of the year will be held on April 29. We are still working out details and will post more as we confirm.

We will submit the 21-22 Board Slate for voting at the general meeting. While those board members are integral to HCES PTA, so are the standing and special committees that help plan and carry out the many PTA events throughout the year. Please complete the following parent survey to better help the new board prepare to fill these chair and committee openings for next year.

Important Dates

  • April 9th - K for a Day - virtual presentation uploaded to our HCES website and sent out as a schoolcast to all families

  • April 13-16 - ACAP Testing for 2nd/3rd

  • April 20-23 - ACAP Testing for 4th/5th

  • April 23rd - Progress reports sent home

Spirit Wear
The store is open! Multiple styles of masks and shirts available. Orders can be delivered via school or shipped direct (shipping fees apply).

PTA Support To Date
We wanted to take a quick moment to let you know how PTA has supported our school and staff so far this year. Your donations, membership, spirit wear orders and spirit night support has helped us support HCES in the following ways:

  • $100 allotment to every classroom and specials teacher
  • Full funding for the HCES district copier costs from 19-20
  • Back to school breakfast and a sweet treat prior to the Thanksgiving break, along with the Happy Cart in October
  • 1st grade reading program charms
  • PTA memberships to all certified staff members
  • Gaga Ball Pit construction and extra materials such as landscaping paper and sand
  • teachers/staff will receive a full case of paper in total. A 1/2 case was purchased at the beginning of the year, and an additional 1/2 case purchased in Jan.
  • Glow event support and purchase of three black light setups for future use.

We hope to bring back programs and events as allowed.
