Our Online Teamstore is Moving!

For the past few months, the Blackhawks' online team store was housed on the SoccerHive site. However, from this year onward, our team store will transition to Chipply. Hummel's objective with moving our teamstore to Chipply is to provide a site that is easier to navigate for our families and provides Hummel the ability to process orders at a faster rate. Hummel has spent the past few weeks building out our store with the hopes that it will be up and running in the coming days. For now, if you need to purchase a uniform, please reach out to Linh at linh@blackhawksoccer.org.

Summer Camps Registration are Now Open!

Have you begun planning out what summer activities your kids could get involved with this year? We offer several different summer camps, from Little Hawks to Tryout Prep Camp, that allow players to learn and improve their skills, build relationships, and soak up the fun of playing soccer! Spots fill up fast, so be sure to register today!

Babysitting Fundraiser

Want a date night out? Drop the kids at Orchard Rec Center for a pay-what-you-can Babysitting fundraiser. Kids 4 to 12 Years old can be dropped off Friday, January 27th at 5PM and picked up by 9:30PM.

MEET COACH

Chris Scanlon!

Coach Chris began coaching soccer with the Alan Merrick Soccer Academy while in college at the University of Minnesota. He coached his first club and high school teams in 1999. His first Blackhawks team was the U18 Boys in the summer of 2007, making them the 1989 Age Group! In 2012, he became the Blackhawks' Developmental Director. He is so thankful to have worked with thousands of awesome Hawks!

Q & A

HawkNews: Where did you play soccer growing up?

Coach Chris: I began playing soccer at 5 years old in Ohio and moved around to Florida, Wisconsin, and to MInnesota for college. I have stayed in this wonderful winter wonderland ever since.

HN: What is your favorite soccer team and why?

CC: Along with a lot of the older crowd, my favorite team remains Manchester United. They were one the few teams I was able to watch in the late 80's/early 90's. My first favorite player was Mark Hughes.

HN: What do you love about coaching Blackhawks?

CC: The thing I love most about coaching soccer is seeing my former players in the over 30 leagues still loving the sport. Go Hawks!!
