What's Happening
The City of Miami Beach is continuing the emergency force main replacement along Hawthorne Avenue. The contractor has begun assembling the new replacement pipe to prepare for the pull back scheduled on Thursday, May 21. The first segment is expected to be completed by Friday, May 22.
Intersections along Hawthorne Avenue between 79 and 81 streets will be blocked during pipe assembly and pull back. Please follow posted detour signs.
Once the first segment is complete, parking restrictions between 79 and 80 streets will be lifted. Parking restrictions between 81 and 84 streets will begin on Friday, May 22 for the second segment.
Parking Alternatives
To assist affected residents, the City of Miami Beach is providing parking codes for Zone 26 participants to use municipal surface lots 108, 109, 110 and 111 for 24-hour parking. These codes are active now through Friday, June 5 or until further notice. Enter the code in the ParkMobile App.
