Morning Traffic Congestion

Traffic in the front loop can be very heavy right before school starts in the morning! To avoid that congestion (and a tardy to school), if you are dropping off your student, plan on arriving early. Even just a few extra minutes can make a big difference! Our doors open at 7:00am. When dropping off, we ask that drivers pull all the way to end of the loop before students exit the vehicle to keep the process as smooth and safe as possible for everyone. If vehicles are pulled all the way forward, up to 8 cars can be dropping off students at one time. See below.

Student Drop Off

Students should exit vehicles within the area where the cones are pictured.

Students should use the sidewalk.

The "front" vehicle should pull all the way up to the front cone before stopping to drop off.

ASVAB

Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Test, the FREE military entrance exam and career assessment (a great opportunity for non-military bound students too!), will be administered on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Hayes High School. (This is a make-up semester exam period.) The test is open to students in grades 10, 11, 12. Click HERE to sign up. (Please see the registration form about how this test can be used towards the Honors Diploma.)
