I grew up with mirrors everywhere around our house. Ever since I moved out on my own when I was 19, I've always had mirrors everywhere. Something about the bounding of the light that creates a brighter home inside, I love it. We made a frame the other day. We went to Home Depot and bout a gigantic mirror and some decorative trim, painted the trim and put the mirror up (nailed it to the wall) - so now it's a fixture to the house. We still have to fill in the corners with putty and make the final touches, but it is up!
If you have a room that doesn't get the light that you'd like, even if you have it painted light color, consider getting a mirror or mirrors, just think, you can check your hair in every room if you like!
