It feels like that sometimes, you know that Seinfeld episode when he screams "no soup for you!" Some, actually a lot sellers hitting the market are wanting the all time high price for their home like it's 2020,2021 again, but buyers aren't having it. They're either wanting the home to be absolutely perfect with no work to be done, or they're asking for everything under the sun to be done. And then, both sides won't budge and then poof, ok, the sellers aren't going to sell anymore, and they're standing by that. It's happening a lot.
How do you avoid that from happening and get where you want to be if you're a seller or a buyer? Knowing that the market is not what it once was, and, knowing that yes, the seller will eventually pull the plug if buyer demands keep on as they are. But then, who gains from that? The principal? The seller's house still isn't sold, and the buyer that wanted the seller's house is still looking for that perfect property.
Being both a seller and a buyer in this market today is challenging. Us Realtors see this every day. Hearing what Realtors have to say sometimes isn't all warm and fuzzy, when we present facts, they are, indeed the facts. We don't like it any more than you do, but it's our duty to be 100% transparent with you throughout the whole process. Check out this article that Bill found. What's your opinion about today's market?
