This is from a Realtor only post where a Realtor is asking if other Realtors use the First MLS along with the Georgia MLS when listing their seller's homes. I got permission from our broker to put this up too. Reading the comments (we blocked out the other agent's names except for ours and our Brokers, but I was shocked at what I read.) It's basically saying no, I'm not going to spend any extra money if I can help it to sell my client's home. What??? Why wouldn't you spend what you need to to get the most offers? More buyers = more offers = higher sale price. It's that simple! Click here to learn what the First MLS and Georgia MLS means.
No wonder when I call the listings that expired off market the sellers are mad as can be. And I'll look it up too, I want to know if that agent also put their client's listing in the FMLS and guess what? Most of the time, they did not, even the top agents. It's baffling.
When you choose your Realtor to sell your home, you absolutely need to make sure especially in Fayette & Coweta County that your Realtor lists in BOTH the Georgia MLS & the First MLS. The First MLS covers 23 counties in the Atlanta region, is linked with the Middle Georgia MLS, and is also in multiple states. Putting your listing right in front of the agents in those mandatory areas will ensure they see it. Only 22% of Georgia MLS agents also put their listings in the FMLS as well, That number should be 100%. You hire us, your listing will be in both and you WILL be getting the most exposure on your property. Isn't that what you're paying a Realtor for when selling your home?
