So….. you’ve marked your calendar for the closing date of your home. The day before arrives and you get notice that the closing is going to be delayed by a week. Ok, so now you have to change your plans for the next day. Now, it is next week – the day of closing, you get notice that the closing may not happen at all that day, but nobody is certain of that yet – what?? Now it is an hour before we are set to close. We just got notice that the closing will not happen today. It is now rescheduled for tomorrow. Kind of sounds like a broken record now, so ok, it is now tomorrow. Closing is supposed to happen at 4pm. We should know something definite by 12 noon. Finally, at 1pm we have the green light. We close on the home at 4pm.
Why did I just write all of this? Because in a drop of a hat, everything can change, in life in general and in the Real Estate world: expect the unexpected. When agents tell you there will be ups and downs during listing your home or buying a home, that is putting it mildly. I will tell you though, even with all of the unexpected changes that happen – we know that we have truly helped out our clients to the fullest extent possible so that they can move on with their lives. That to us is worth everything.
What is that saying? The only thing certain is that nothing is certain (I had to look up that quote to make sure I said it right).
The house above is the house that we closed on last week - at 4pm.
