We were at an appointment not too long ago where the homeowners are going to be selling their home in the Spring, and wanted us to come over to get a first look at their property. Anyway, they, like us, do not have a fireplace, on purpose. They got it removed and knocked out the wall and put in French doors to the outside (we put in sliding glass doors.)
So, their child was home when we were there and when the child heard us talking about not having a fireplace he asked Bill if he thought that Santa Claus would still come at Christmas time even though they don't have a fireplace. Bill of course said Santa is magic and will figure out how to get into any house.
The homeowners asked us what our thoughts were for not having a fireplace when it's time to sell their home. Will it affect the sale price? A teenie bit ~ mb around $1500.00 - $2000 - based on recent appraisals.
