Calling all Alumni, Friends, First-Year Experience (FYE), and Movement students! Join us on Saturday, March 11, 2023 for our next community hike at Lake Chabot, 17600 Lake Chabot Rd, Castro Valley, CA 94546. Enjoy a refreshing, casual walk while networking.
Schedule:
8:30 A.M. - Sign-in/Meet & Greets in front of the parking/dog fee pay station
8:50 A.M. - Begin Hike
11:30 A.M. - Conclude Hike
12:00 noon - After the Hike (See below for an optional meet-up)
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Please bring your own water, snacks, and anything else you might need to make your walk comfortable. If you are driving to the event, note that street parking is free and parking inside the lot is $5.

Join us on Saturday, March 11, 2023 for the City of Hayward's 147th Birthday Bash! Enjoy local bands, food, and exhibits while networking with Chabot Alumni and Friends to celebrate the city's birthday.
We will meet in front of the Hayward City Hall fountain at 12:00 noon and plan to casually explore the downtown street party for a few hours.

Gladiator Men's Basketball Program Receives National Acknowledgement | |

The Chabot College Gladiator Men’s Basketball program continues a stellar season. A victory this past weekend over the Los Medanos Mustangs advances the Gladiators to the California Junior College State Playoff Sweet 16 Round, where they will take on the San Jose City College Jaguars in San Jose on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 7:00 P.M.
The Gladiator Men’s Basketball program was acknowledged as the “National Team of the Week" by JucoRecruiting.com on February 6.

Gladiator Speech and Debate Wins NorCal Championship | |

From February 17-19, the Chabot College Gladiator Speech and Debate Team competed at the Northern California Regional Championship Tournament. The tournament hosted twenty-four schools, including two- and four-year schools from California, Utah, Nevada, and Oregon.
Congratulations to the Chabot Gladiators, placing first among all Community Colleges in Northern California (limited entry division)!

This is due to the amazing success of the Parliamentary Debate team. Congratulations to the Second Place, Northern California Regionals, Varsity Parliamentary Team Debate: Sylvia Ho and Zahra Samim! Sylvia and Zahra were the only community college debaters to advance in varsity and out-debated three different four-year teams to advance to the final round.
Chabot has advanced at least one debater into the top two or better in the last three tournaments. Click below for more information about Chabot Communication Studies.
