Thanks for celebrating with us!

Thanks to everyone who joined the celebration of 15 Years of Health by Design last week! Our team loved connecting with partners (although we missed our colleagues who are based in other parts of Indiana). We are truly grateful for the communities and coalition that support active living throughout the state!
Out & about on the Indianapolis Cultural Trail
Thanks to the Indianapolis Cultural Trail team, our Health by Design staff were able to spend an afternoon outside taking care of our block! We cleared litter and debris to make walking, rolling, and biking on the trail safe and easy, and got to install some new native plants in the greenspaces along the trail.
Special thanks to Jordan & Ethan from the Indianapolis Cultural Trail for all of the work they do maintaining this public resource.

The National Center for Mobility Management is creating a database of community transportation services (including fixed-route, deviated fixed-route, demand responsive, volunteer drive, and on-demand services). If you are aware of any datasets relating to these services that can be shared with NCMM for this project, send them to [email protected].

You can also view resources from their updated Transportation Technical Assistance Coordination Library here.
This summer, Health by Design team members participated in the City of Bloomington's Increasing Transportation and Mobility Accessibility Opportunities for All event. The hybrid event included guest speakers and an interactive audit of specific city streets. You can learn about the impact of the event, especially the needs assessment portion, here!

The transcript including the video description can be found here.
