Indianapolis Adopts Transit-Oriented Development Updates
|
|
Last week, the Metropolitan Development Commission approved updates to Indy ReZone that enable Transit-Oriented Development surrounding bus-rapid transit routes in Indianapolis. These amendments add design standards that support walkability, improved streetscapes, and better residential and commercial design. They also revise development standards to encourage infill-housing development and an array of housing types that will support greater housing diversity and affordability. Health by Design congratulates our friends at the Department of Metropolitan Development, Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization, and IndyGo for their efforts toward this monumental change! Read more in the Indianapolis Star or Indianapolis Business Journal.
