Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:1-9 , 12-15 ; Matthew 28:1-15

The story of the Resurrection is one of the most repeated stories in history. It contains all of the elements of a great story. It has passion, intrigue and danger. It has the classic juxtaposition of good versus evil.

This is a story that a man who was betrayed by his friends on Thursday, who suffered cruel abuse by his Roman guards, who was nailed to a cross on Friday, who was buried in a borrowed tomb, and on the third day, was raised from the dead. And with every telling of this greatest story ever told, we are reminded of how much God loves us, how far Jesus is willing to go to claim us as his family. We can be there with him at the Last Supper, participate in the arrest and trial, follow him to the cross, and finally see the empty tomb for ourselves. This story is ALIVE today!

Our Good Friday service will start at 7:00pm on Friday, April 19. This service may not be suitable for very young children due to the nature of the content.

The Easter Sunrise Service will begin at 6:30am on the front steps of the Sanctuary on Easter morning April 21.

Don't forget our Easter Brunch is Sunday, April 21 from 8:00am to 10:00am.

Invite someone to join us for our Easter Resurrection Service on Sunday, April 21 at 10:45am! Studies show that something as simple as a personal invitation makes a difference.

Everyone is invited to pose for a Cornerstone MCC group photo after worship this Sunday, April 21 . This photo will be printed in the MCC General Conference 50th Anniversary Program.

OASIS will begin a four-week study on prayer beginning Wednesday, April 24 . Bring a brown bag supper and join us at 6:15pm for a time of fellowship followed by our study.

The members of our Board of Directors will participate in a community round-table discussion on community unity with other LGBT Boards on Saturday, April 27 . If you have issues you would like us to bring to the table please contact one of our Board members.
