There is a simple song based on Philippians 4:4, Rejoice in the Lord, Always, that was popular when I was young. My mom (Regina Opalka, RIP), a self-taught music minister in the aftermath of Vatican II, explored all the new music proliferated by various groups, Catholic and non-Catholic! We sang this tune as a round in our family, our prayer groups, and home masses. As children, the simplicity and joy of this tune during the Easter season and throughout the year matched our energy and captured our hearts!

Do we carry the joy of Easter with us throughout our day? Do our children see it, our co-workers, the daily passers by? Do we wear the excitement of our faith on our sleeves? The joy can be infectious! Our joy can bring a smile to someone's face and can help us see difficult situations with a more positive and hopeful attitude!
