Dear Global Christian Warriors,

During this Feast of Tabernacles we are told to REJOICE! [ Leviticus 23:40 ]

One opportunity for JOY is to ponder whether Yeshua was indeed born on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles. Here is an account by Michael J. Rood, in his Rood Review this month:

" If there's one Bible story we should get straight, it's Yeshua's birth--- which was not on Christmas Day. Yeshua's birth was an intermediate fulfillment of Sukkot, also known as the Feast of Tabernacles or 'mangers.' Tabernacle and manger are the same word in Hebrew, the plural of which is sukkot, which means 'temporary dwellings.'

" Yoseph, Yeshua's earthly father figure, was required to live in a sukkah (singular form of sukkot) during the entire seven-day feast of Sukkot. Although his pregnant wife Miriam was not required to live in the sukkah, available lodgings in Bethlehem were completely booked, so she joined Yoseph and, on the first day of the Feast of Sukkot, delivered her first-born son, Yeshua, in the sukkah. That is the moment when the Word was made flesh and sukkoted or tabernacled ( i.e.'dwelt' ) among us. The shepherds were at the scene, but the "wise men" would not arrive for more than a year.

" The Magi, a common term for Chaldean astronomers, were in fact the descendants of the Jewish astronomers that Daniel had trained; he was the overseer of all the astronomers in Babylon for more than 60 years. Following Daniel's instruction, the astronomers watched the skies for more than 500 years, searching for the great sign in the heavens for the one-time celestial alignment that would herald the upcoming birth of the King of Kings. They finally spotted it in 3 CBE, but the journey to visit him would take some time.

"More that a year after their first sighting of 'his star,' the astronomers (and a heavily armed entourage, no doubt) arrived at the city gates of Jerusalem a few days before Hanukkah with their lavishly appointed caravan. And the gifts they brought? That also dates back to Daniel's time. Daniel was an extremely wealthy man, having served as a satrap for three different kings. However, he was made a eunuch, so he had no direct descendant to whom he could bequeath his wealth----until, 500 years later, the executors of his will brought their treasure-laden caravan to Yeshua, who was now a 14-month-old toddler living in a 'house' with his parents.

" Yes, on the very night that Yoseph was commanded in a vision to take the child and his mother and flee ( the night that Herod's orders to execute all male babies was issued) Daniel's treasure was delivered right to their door to fund their escape to Egypt. The Almighty is indeed the master of ALL details."

JOY follows repentance, just as the Feast of Tabernacles follows the Day of Atonement. Do you want to find others repenting to strengthen your own times of repentance? Please email us for information, pastorjeff@repentday.com, use our repentance materials on our website, www.repentday.com, and join us in our several weekly repentance calls, including a powerful 2 hour Africa Kneels zoom call on Thursdays.

Do you see repentance as vital for our times? To our knowledge National Day of Repentance is the only Christian ministry focusing solely on personal and national repentance in every nation and applying it in our lives.

No church, no denomination supports us, only YOU! Though we work as volunteers, costs and requests for food pour in each day far beyond our capacity to fulfill these requests.

In Luke 8:3 we see three women who understood the mighty move of God in front of them and wished to provide "from their substance." The Lord Jesus tells us in John 14:12 that he who believes in Him will do greater works for the Kingdom because He is now with the Father. We believe this move of His Gift of Repentance, now bursting forth in Africa, is such a work.

Would you please pray for us? And then give from a cheerful heart as the Lord leads? THANK YOU!--whatever amount you give, we pray that you'll receive a blessing--- 2 Corinthians 8: 2-4 and Luke 8:3--- and Fruit that will abound to your spiritual account, Philippians 4:17.

God bless you.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
