Head Start Basketball - St. Ambrose FUNdamental League
The League will be held at the brand new Ambrose Crossing Gym on Saturday mornings beginning on January 9, 2021 and continuing through February 13, 2021 from 9:00 - 10:30 am.
The program will offer a 60 minute skills training session followed by 30 minutes of 3 on 3 half-court games.
The St. Ambrose - Head Start Basketball FUNdamental League is for the players. Kids need to enjoy the sport to want to improve. Our league's key focus is FUN! This is an opportunity to develop basketball skills in a fun, low-stress environment. We encourage healthy competition in which kids play hard and play to win but not at the expense of belittling opponents, yelling at officials or displaying poor sportsmanship. We ask that players conduct themselves appropriately and exhibit good sportsmanship. We ask the same of parents and others who come to watch. Adults, please set a good example for the players.
For questions please contact Head Start Basketball Director Mike Klinzing at 216-392-4059 or St. Ambrose Athletic Director Ryan Harrington at ryanh@sales-team.biz or 413-320-3472.
For boys and girls in grades k-2
League Highlights:
- 6 week League playing every Saturday starting January 9 and ending February 13.
- 60 minute skill sessions every week with the Head Start Basketball Coaching Staff.
- 30 minutes of 3 on 3 game play every week.
- A positive and fun environment for kids to develop their basketball skills.
