Dear Prince Family,
On August 19, we conducted our first announced lockdown drill of the school year. Within the next two weeks, we will hold our first unannounced lockdown drill. When this occurs, you will receive a Parent Alert Text Message beginning with “DRILL, DRILL, DRILL” notifying you that the school is in lockdown. If you do not receive this message, please contact the Admissions Office so we can update your cell phone information in the FACTS system.
In keeping with our safety procedures, Oconee County law enforcement officers will be present on campus to observe and evaluate the drill. Following the exercise, our administrative leadership team will review the security footage alongside members of the Sheriff’s Office. These reviews help us assess how faculty and staff respond in securing students and ensure that best practices are consistently applied. They also allow us to refine our protocols based on lessons learned from incidents at other schools nationwide and make spot corrections with faculty/staff as needed.

All faculty and staff are equipped with Centegix badges, which provide instant communication with the Sheriff’s Office in an emergency.
- The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has real-time access to our security camera system before arriving on campus.
- A dedicated, armed security manager oversees all aspects of our safety program.
Please anticipate a Parent Alert Text Message within the next two weeks as part of this important drill. These exercises ensure that our students, faculty, and staff are well prepared to respond swiftly and effectively in the event of a campus intruder.
