Dear Prince Family:

Once a month throughout the school year, a member of our administrative leadership team will write to you about an issue important to Christian education and our partnership. As we begin another school year together, there is no better place to start than with the reason Prince Avenue Christian School exists.

You entrust us with something of extraordinary value, which is the education, development, and care of your children. At Prince, we understand that responsibility extends far beyond classrooms, report cards, athletic fields, and performance stages. We are partnering with you as Christian parents during the most formative years of your children's lives. That is a sacred trust, and it demands that our mission remain unmistakably clear.

Our Mission Statement is:

"To partner with Christian families to provide scripturally based discipleship while pursuing excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics from a biblical worldview."

Those words are intentionally visible throughout our campus. They appear on large boards in multiple locations, on our website, course syllabi, and even on faculty name tags. But a mission statement has little value if it remains merely words. It must be visible in the daily life, decisions, priorities, and culture of the school.

For us, the order of the four pillars listed in our mission statement matters.

We make no apology for setting high standards in academics, fine arts, and athletics. We want our students to study hard, compete well, perform with excellence, and fully develop the gifts God has given them. But those pursuits, as worthy as they are, are not our highest purpose. Our first and greatest calling is to partner with Christian families in the scripturally based discipleship of their children. Simply stated, our mission describes what we do, why we do it, and the standard against which we measure ourselves.

History is filled with institutions that gradually lost sight of why they were established. Mission drift rarely arrives with an announcement. It happens quietly - one seemingly insignificant compromise at a time - until an organization eventually bears little resemblance to the one its founders envisioned. We are very careful to avoid drifting onto that wayward course.



Culture will change. Popular opinions will change. Educational philosophies will come and go. But the truth of scripture does NOT change. We take a disciplined approach to staying on a Christ-centered course, firmly anchored in Biblical truth.

Our Vision Statement describes where our commitment should take us:

"Guided by God's Word as our foundation, we aspire to be the preferred choice for Christian families in Northeast Georgia by providing a premier college preparatory education while discipling students to grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ."

That work requires our partnership. Our faculty and staff are professing believers who understand that Christian education is not simply adding Bible classes to an excellent academic and co-curricular experience. A biblical worldview is not "a class," but the lens through which we strive to teach, encourage, correct, compete, serve, and care for our students every day.

As parents, you have the greatest influence on your children's lives. The church has its God-ordained role, and our Christian school comes alongside both. When home, church, and school are pulling in the same direction, we create the strong "cord of three strands" described in Ecclesiastes 4:12. That partnership is one of the great strengths of Christian education, and we must leverage it to equip and strengthen our students. They are the next generation of Christian families.

At Prince, we are unapologetic in our faith. We teach students to respect their parents, teachers, coaches, and one another; to appreciate America - the country God has placed them in; and to develop the courage to stand for truth when doing so is neither easy nor popular. Above all, we teach our students to uphold Jesus Christ as our standard-bearer.

That is the Prince Avenue Christian School to which our faculty and staff have committed themselves to serving. It is the school our families have chosen. It is the school generations before us worked to build and preserve. And, by God's grace, it is the school we will hand to the generation that follows us - still excellent, still faithful, and still unmistakably Christ-centered.
