Dear Prince Family,
On January 13, we conducted the first announced lockdown drill of the second semester. As per our procedures, we will conduct an unannounced lockdown drill within the next week.
When the drill occurs, parents will receive a Parent Alert Text Message beginning with “DRILL, DRILL, DRILL.” If you do not receive this message, please contact the Admissions Office so we can update your cell phone information in the FACTS system.
Oconee County law enforcement will be on campus to observe the drill and take part in a post-drill review using video footage to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Our campus safety posture includes:
- Centegix emergency badges issued to all faculty and staff for immediate communication with the Sheriff’s Office
- Real-time, off-campus security camera footage by the Sheriff’s Office
- A dedicated, armed security manager who oversees all aspects of campus safety
Please anticipate a Parent Alert Text Message within the next week. These drills train our faculty, staff, and students to respond quickly and decisively should a real emergency ever occur.
With warm regards and in His service,
