We did it! The doors are open, our students are back, and Rockford Christian is FULL of life again! After months of construction, moving, unpacking, planning, and a few surprises along the way, we are finally seeing the vision come to life. Leadership Transition

Rockford Christian School is entering a new season of leadership. After prayerful consideration, Dr. Jahna Duda has decided to conclude her service as Head of School at the end of 2026 to pursue a new leadership opportunity in Texas. The Board is grateful for her leadership and the significant progress made during her tenure.

We are pleased to announce that Matt Nyberg, Head of Lower School and Operations, has been selected as her successor. Mr. Nyberg will begin working alongside Dr. Duda this fall to prepare for a seamless transition and will assume the role of Head of School in January 2027.

While leadership will change, Rockford Christian’s mission remains steadfast. We are grateful for God’s faithfulness, confident in the strength of our school community, and excited to welcome Mr. Nyberg in this new role. He has demonstrated a deep commitment to Christ, Christian education, and the mission of Rockford Christian, and is a unifying leader for all levels of the school as we begin the next chapter on one campus.

Anchored by the biblical theme "Set Free," this year’s report highlights our momentous campus unification at Bell School Road and our prestigious recognition as a CESA Candidate School.

Academic Excellence: The Class of 2026 earned over $8.5 million in reported scholarship offerings, with 93% of graduates moving on to pursue higher education.
Record-Breaking Athletics: Royal Lions captured four state championships and made elite, historic state runs, including Final Four appearances by the girls' varsity volleyball and basketball teams.
Honoring Faculty: We celebrate Mrs. Katie Volk's recognition as a 2026 Golden Apple Teacher Award recipient and Miss Joan Stadel's retirement after 57 years of dedicated service.
A United Future: We bid a heartfelt farewell to the Hemlock Lane campus as we unify our student body into a single, shared educational home.
