Current and future technologies, such as telehealth, remote monitoring, and artificial intelligence, will underpin the more distributed system of the future. NEHI’s initiative has drawn on the collective insights of experts spanning key sectors of health and health care to examine the technological potential, as well as the work force, regulatory, payment, and human factors considerations, inherent in moving to such a distributed system.
During HIMSS, NEHI and experts involved in the project will discuss the initiative and its work to date and will preview draft recommendations to be published in white papers and presented in various other forums in 2018. NEHI session information is below.
