Dear Families,

It's hard to believe that we are already completing week two of our remote learning. Our staff and students have been working hard over these last two weeks and I'm sure everyone is ready for a well-deserved spring break.
When the Governor announced the temporary closure of buildings, it was to be for three weeks and students would be returning Monday, April 6th.  Although we believe remote learning will be extended, we do not know for how long. As we learn more about what this timeline looks like, we will continue to provide you with updated details.
In the meantime, the weekend is here and it's time to have some fun. No matter what your musical preferences are, music is good for all of us. Take a minute, sit back, and enjoy this classical take on washing your hands from Iranian artist, Danial Kheirkhah . If you prefer to get up and move, this Bee Gees parody, "Stayin' Inside" is just for you.
Have a wonderful weekend and spring break. Our team will be here preparing for education after spring break and providing you with updates as we have them.
Best Regards,
Mary Beth Freeman

Creative Problem Solving
Before our Health Technology students left for remote learning, their instructor, Ms. Castrodale, had the foresight to have them create fake needles. They are continuing to practice the step-by-step technique of phlebotomy, all the way up to the actual stick.

Our students have employed the help of their family members as patients and are submitting photos and videos as their assignment.
What Does Remote Learning Look Like for You?
Professional Food Service Instructor, Ms. Adkins, is continuing to inspire her students to keep learning and cooking outside the classroom. Their creations look delicious!

To our DACC Food Service parents - THANK YOU for allowing your children to turn your kitchens into their classroom.
