Holy Week at GLC
From the beginning of the pandemic we have said that for big HOLY-days, if we couldn't ALL be together, then none of us would gather in the sanctuary. Having to register people, impose limits and possibly turn people away simply doesn't fit with all the ways we work to build community. We will not have in-person attendance on Palm Sunday or Easter Sunday in the sanctuary, but will have palms on Palm Sunday and Holy Communion on Easter Sunday. See our Holy Week Schedule
Palm Sunday worship
We will livestream our 9:00 am Sunday worship service on YouTube. (No in-person attendance). Please come to the circle drive between 10:15-10:45 am to pick up your palm branch!
Pastor Trudy's Message
Almost there! Jesus is about to enter Jerusalem and fulfill all that has been spoken about Him. Just before entering the city, Jesus stops and weeps. He weeps for choices they have made and will make, opting for violence over peace. We don't need Holy Week to remind us all the ways that humans opt for violence over peace, but as our tears join Jesus' tears, we will get perspective and inspiration to move forward in a different way.
Mighty God, help us to pause and weep as we contemplate the events in our world and the events of this Holy Week. You will accompany us through it all. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Real questions from real people to learn more about faith
Why Holy Week? Every year I write a little something about Holy we all have Holy Weeks in our lives and this helps us to know that there will be resurrection at the end of all of it.  Are we trusting that now? We need Holy Week as a place to process the sheer amount of loss experienced in the last year, with more than 565,000 additional deaths as compared to other years. But this year adds an additional burden of helping to prepare us for what is coming next as we tentatively step back into lives that will never be the same.
Send some prayer shawl LOVE!
Vicar Amber and Pastor Trudy demonstrate just how many prayer shawls we have! Would you like to send some prayer shawl love and comfort to someone near or far? Let Julie know and she will coordinate the delivery!
Sign up to grab your spot!
