The Most Important Bill of the Legislative Session Is...
There will be plenty of compelling stories over the next two months as the 2019 Legislative Session unfolds in Baton Rouge. It’s an election year, so the governor and all the legislators know the stakes are high. They are all laser-focused not only on what happens inside the Capitol from now until they adjourn in the first week of June but even more importantly, on how the voters of this state feel about it when they head to the polls in October.

Patriots in Business Award
The Economic Development community has been at the forefront of creating programs to help our nation’s military and veterans bring their valuable skills to the workforce. Chief Executive Group, in partnership with Thayer Leader Development Group at West Point, has a terrific opportunity for you to help support companies that have strong military and veteran initiatives.

The Patriots in Business Award will recognize the Best Companies with Veteran and Military Initiatives in the U.S. We hope you will encourage the companies in your area to submit their business for consideration for this important award. Winners will be awarded in 3 categories: small, medium and large businesses (based on annual revenue), and the winners will receive coverage in Chief Executive magazine as well as have the opportunity to ring the bell at Nasdaq this November.

Visit the website to learn more about the award and submission process to share with appropriate companies in your area. With your help we can foster participation in the award, which in turn helps bring military and veteran initiatives, and those companies that support them, to light.
