We are postponing our annual Curriculum Night until September so that we have some experience working with students both on campus and remotely. The new dates will be shared by August 31^st. Of course, you are always welcome to reach out to your child’s teachers with questions about curriculum, distance learning, and more. In order to continue to collect feedback on your experience this year, please take a few minutes to fill out a short survey titled, Archway Arete Parent Survey 8.14.20. In order to adequately prepare for our return to campus, teachers will be engaged in professional development on August 27^th and August 28^th. The students will still have assignments to complete in Google Classroom, but there will be no live streaming and teachers will have limited capacity to respond via email. Thank you for understanding. We want to make the hybrid classroom the best that it can be (teaching both online and in-person). Remember that the streaming hours will change the following week (8/31) for families opting to remain online if the county DHS metrics allow for our reopening on that date. We hope to have a schedule to share by the end of next week (8/21). 

We are seeking volunteers for the Teacher Excellence Fund Telethon on September 19^th at Veritas Prep. Funds raised will provide bonus compensation to our very own teachers at Archway Arete in their December payroll. Click here for volunteer roles and shifts available. Family Handbook signing is digital this year. Parents need to give consent for both Google Classroom and Zoom. Follow these steps to complete the process: by August 18th.

Attendance will take place in Google Classroom everyday from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Students or parents will log into Google Classroom and click YES for daily attendance. Attendance not submitted by 3:00 pm daily will be marked as Unexcused Absence. If your child is going to be absent from Google Classroom, call the school to report the absence as usual. Please see the attendance policy on page 29-31 of the Family Handbook for explanation of Excused and Unexcused Absences.

Great Hearts has a new volunteer approval process. If you would like to be approved to volunteer, CLICK HERE. The application is brief and easy to complete, and you will receive an answer from the Raptor system within 48 hours. The cost is $5.00. All volunteers must be approved through this process, no exceptions.

Please note, when selecting the school it will not separate Archway and Prep. You can choose multiple campuses, if that applies to you and your family. If you have any questions or concerns you can reach out to John Lund, Great Hearts Safety Manager.
