APRIL 2022: MARKET NEWS!
Hello Market Friends!
We're so excited to be on the home stretch of the Saturday Market
re-opening! April 16th is Opening Day, which is coincidentally Easter weekend, so it should be a hoppin' good time! Easter egg hunt at the market anyone?
Here's who'll be there...It's going to be a great market this year!

NEW VENDORS AT OUR SATURDAY MARKET
|
We don't look for out-of-area farms very often, as we have such great produce grown in our backyard. But we've lost all our local blueberry growers, so it was a thrill to find an excellent farm out of Santa Maria (!) which grows organic berries: blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries. We have a lot of strawberries at the market already, so they'll be bringing mostly their other berries, and you'll be dancing for joy! These are amazing berries!

Another new farm at Saturday Market is Noble Goat, located in Healdsburg, coming in with a variety of local crops. Welcome to Jeremy, Shalie and family!
|
Sometimes vendors just apply out-of-the-blue, as was the case for Jeremy Kuo and Ploypailin Sakornsin of Sangsan Healdsburg, who've been doing pop-up restaurants in town, and are now going to join our Saturday market with delicious Thai cuisine! Yum!

Big Spoon Sauce Company
Welcome to Nathan Bender and Lani Chan of Big Spoon Sauce Co. They make a spicy, savory chili sauce, meant to adorn anything from oysters to avocado toast.

Wine Country Preserves
We've been missing a preserves vendor, so we're happy to have this farmers' market small batch jams and jellies maker right down the road in Windsor. Her varieties include plum, apricot, peach, apricot sage, peach basil, cinnamon plum, balsamic strawberry, balsamic fig, pear butter, apple butter, and more! https://www.facebook.comWineCountryPreserves/

Lots of New Artisans!
We have several new craftspeople this season: some did the craft market in 2021 and signed up for the full season this year, and some are brand new to our market! Of course, all your favorite artists are returning as well. We have 6 crafts booths each week, and 30 artists in the rotation, so every week has new and different work. This is a small selection: all are listed on the 2022 Vendor Page (see below for link).

|
Not all our new vendors are written about here, and of course the majority of the market is filled with vendors you know and love, including many who've been with us for a long time. Also, keep in mind, not all vendors come each week, and the first couple of weeks of the market may have less vendors than the rest of the season. Some are not quite ready for prime time.
I'll send another newsletter in early May with a run down of the Tuesday market line-up, which is also filled with wonderful new and favorite vendors. This looks like it will be an exceptional season for both markets!
A full list of vendors as of this date, for both markets, can be found here:
