Update: Outdoor Activities Permits for Downtown Healdsburg
A message from Councilmember David Hagele:

On Monday, we as a Council took action & authorized the City Manager to issue temporary Outdoor Activities Permits to allow our businesses to utilize portions of public spaces in our commercial districts such as parking spaces, sidewalks, etc. to expand their dining & retail areas.

We also had a discussion around restricting vehicle access in the downtown area, which would allow for more foot & bicycle access to downtown streets like North St., Center St. & Plaza St.
Staff did a great job hosting multiple Zoom meetings over the last few weeks with our businesses along the streets considered for vehicle limitations to gain their input. Now, staff will do the same to hear from our community. The goal is to bring all the feedback to us on June 15th for possible action. If you have thoughts, comments or concerns from your point of view, be sure to share them so you can be part of the discussion.

The attached photo's are "samples" (click here for more pictures) of what was presented on Monday & I look forward to hearing from you. Once staff has the Zoom meetings set, I'll share those dates/times here to make sure you have an opportunity to ask questions and get feedback in a more relaxed setting than a formal Council meeting. All of the input we receive will help shape our final decision.

This is an exciting step forward in expanding the walkability of Healdsburg!
