In the old days, when a people were gravely threatened as we are now, the Chiefs, Medicine people, Shamans, and Elders called Councils. They looked for solutions to their troubles by aligning themselves with the ancestors, the natural world and their wisdom traditions.
In the US, the brutality that led to Slavery and the genocide of Native Americans are being extended now to all peoples. It is the time to gather in council and remember all our medicine ways in order to protect, sustain and bring healing to our kin, to all peoples, human and more than human.
This intensive is envisioned as a circle, an exceptional group of men and women gathering to devote themselves to the work of visioning and healing at a time of great threat. There is a significant relationship between healing ourselves and healing the world even as we are called to face the reoccurence of Nazism, increasing crimes against humanity, genocide, environmental collapse, inordinate greed and the unimaginable through AI run amok.
We hope that this small and devoted group gathering in alliance with the spirits and the wisdom of the natural world, using heartmind and deep memory, will begin to find ways to meet the anguish of these times.
For twenty-seven years physicians, psychologists, therapists, writers, musicians, artists, educators, ministers, cultural workers, shamans, peacebuilders and many others have gathered together to be part of a courageous, visioning community. The work provides opportunities for each participant to find the often hidden and pathless path to which one is called and to set out to walk it. This intensive is an immersion in a Mystery School for the real world.
This work is based upon 19 Ways to a Viable Future for all Beings, as well as dream guidance, divination, heart understanding, intellectual rigor and deep listening to earth and spirit. We are committed to contemplating and actively addressing the areas forbidden to anyone seeking federal funding, including DEI, trans, abortion, multicultural, cultural heritage, woman, racial, Native American and Indigenous.
There will be time to walk on the land and write, explore, to spend time in contemplation made sacred by intention, to share work and ideas with each other, while addressing the urgent questions and concerns that confront us
