What's happening at St. Antoninus?
1. This Sunday, September 7, is a truly historic day for the Church! Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati are set to be canonized together by Pope Leo XIV tomorrow, September 7, 2025 in Rome. The joint ceremony will be a major event during the Catholic Church's Jubilee of Hope in 2025. in this issue and at our Mass tomorrow, we will focus on Carlo Acutis, who died in 2006 at just 15 years old and left behind an amazing testimony of love for Jesus and a life of holiness that makes him a powerful modern-day role model for all young people. Live telecast of the canonizationwill be on EWTN at 4am, Sunday Sept 7. More inside .
2. Today,and every First Saturday of the month, come to our Monthly Charismatic Healing Mass at 3PM . Come at 2pm for the First Saturday Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Confessions will be available from 2-3pm
3. Religious Education for our children will begin tomorrow Sunday, September 7. Last minute call to register all your children, whether they are existing students or new students. Pls call Sr Mercy Egbeji 412-608-3477 for any questions.
4. Heads up! Divine Adoration Prayer Group praise & worship celebration on Saturday, Sept 20th from 9am to 6pm. The theme is “Eucharistic Worship.” Free breakfast, lunch and dinner. See flyer inside.

Please pray for the eternal repose of soul of Eric Augustus, who took his final journey home last August 30th at the age of 63.
Eric was a devoted husband to Donna, a loving father to Erica & Brent James , and a cherished brother to Joan Sylvester, Maureen Augustus, Jude Augustus, and Junior Augustus.
We invite you to join us in celebrating his life and praying for his soul at St. Antoninus Church on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

Blessed Carlo Acutis will be canonized tomorrow Sunday, Sept 7. We are joyously celebrating this momentous event at St Antoninus.

Carlo Acutis
Tomorrow Sunday, September 7, is a truly historic day for the Church! Blessed Carlo Acutis will be canonized a Saint. Carlo, who died in 2006 at just 15 years old, left behind an amazing testimony of love for Jesus and a life of holiness that makes him a powerful modern-day role model for all young people and for all of us.
At the 10am Mass, Fr Joseph will bless a large image of the new saint, and everyone will receive a holy card to take home.
After Mass, we will go to the rectory dining room to watch an inspiring film on the life of St. Carlo Acutis—complete with popcorn & sandwiches!
This is for everyone. Parents, please make sure your sons and daughters are present for this celebration.
And there’s more! Inspired by Carlo’s witness, we will begin exploring the creation of a new youth group in our parish for high school boys and girls, perhaps to be called St. Carlo Acutis Society or whatever the group decides using his name. The objective is for. this group to meet regularly for Eucharistic Adoration, teachings, and sharing on how to live out the Catholic faith in daily life—just as Carlo did, balancing his love for God with his hobbies, friendships, and passion for technology. Please pray for this intention. St Carlo, pray for us.
Pier Giorgio Frassati
Tomorrow as well, another young man will be canonized along with Carlo. He is Pier Giorgio Frassati . Born in Turn in 1901, Pier Frassati had a zest for life—he was an avid mountain climber, athlete, and enjoyed being outdoors with friends. Yet his joy was always rooted in spiritual fervor and generous service, especially to the poor and sick.

This class is part of what is called RCIA (now caled OCIA) . RCIA stands for: “Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.”
This program is for:
- Those adults 17 years old and older who are not baptized and want to inquire about becoming Catholic OR
- Those who are baptized non-Catholic Christians who want to consider becoming Catholic. OR
- Adult Catholics (17 years or older) who have not received Confirmation or Holy Communion.

INFANT BAPTISM. Expectant parents should call the office to register for the baptism of your baby. and for baptism classes with Fr Joseph. Baptisms at St Antoninus Church are celebrated during Sunday 10am Mass.. DOWNLOAD form needed before scheduling any meetings with the pastor.
