essential information to health care providers focused on multiple areas including health

and individuals with disabilities. Subscribers will have access to free quarterly

newsletters, have opportunities to offer suggestions for the quarterly newsletters, and

submit highlights about their organization to be featured in a future quarterly report if

chosen.

Rx for Exercise App

The National Center on Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD) and the American with Disabilities (ADF) have created an app for health care providers to prescribe physical activity to their patients. The app is available for Apple and Android phones. It includes information on the following:

The Foundation for PM&R is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to advance the science and translate it to clinical practice of restoring function to people with disabilities. Since their inception, they have funded over $1 million in research in the medical specialty of physiatry, which is dedicated to improving health, function and quality of life for those with physical disability.
