COVID-19 Data Summary

For more COVID-19 vaccine data, please see the DHS website.

For additional demographic information, please see this DHS webpage.

  • New Updated Bivalent Booster Availability: The new COVID-19 updated bivalent boosters work to protect you against the most current strains of COVID-19. It is recommended that everyone 12 years and older receive 2 doses of a primary COVID-19 vaccine and the updated bivalent booster when eligible. To find a clinic offering updated boosters, visit www.wcvaccine.org

  • Update in Testing: The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) announced a new way to provide COVID-19 testing at Community Testing Support Program  (CTSP) partners. This new program shifts away from lab-based PCR testing to an antigen test model in an effort to provide rapid results. According to DHS, the purpose of this change is to ensure testing availability at CTSP sites and to meet community need. If you're not having symptoms you will only get an antigen test. If you have symptoms and test negative via the antigen test you will also be given a confirmatory PCR test that will be sent to a lab. If you have taken an at home antigen test you can also visit the clinic and request a PCR test to confirm your at home test. Testing is imperative to help control the spread of COVID-19. Get tested immediately if:
  • You have symptoms of COVID-19.
  • You have been exposed to COVID-19. Everyone, regardless of vaccination status, should get tested five days after exposure to someone with COVID-19.
  • You may need to be tested before or after you travel, even if you are up to date with current vaccine recommendations.
  • Consider using a self-test before going to a public event or getting together with friends and family.
