You're invited: Dialysis Center open house and ribbon-cutting

An open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new CMH Dialysis Center is from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 1160 W. Parkview St. in Bolivar. The ribbon cutting will take place at 1 p.m.


The community is invited to attend, tour the new facility, meet staff and learn more about the comprehensive kidney care services available through the CMH Dialysis Center and CMH Nephrology Clinic. Light refreshments will be served.

Dr. Staci Rogers joins CMH as CMO

Staci Rogers, M.D., will join CMH on Jan. 5, 2026, serving as Chief Medical Officer. She will lead clinical strategy, oversee patient safety initiatives and help guide medical innovation across the CMH system. Dr. Rogers brings more than 21 years of health care experience.

Applications open for Spring EMT Academy

CMH EMS Education is accepting applications through Friday, Dec. 12, for the Spring 2025 EMS Academy. Classes meet from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from Jan. 5-May 9, 2026. Learn more about prerequsities, tuition and how to apply.

Visit Santa at the Cancer Center Dec. 8

The Carrie J. Babb Cancer Center invites the community to Santa Night on Dec. 8. The event runs from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the cancer center and includes cookie decorating, coloring and photos with Santa. All donations and proceeds will benefit the Cancer Center Patient Fund.

New physicians

Mirza Mahmood, M.D.

Hospitalist Mirza Mahmood, M.D., began seeing patients Dec. 1. He previously worked at Ozarks Health Care in West Plains, where he served as chair of medicine and a hospitalist physician since August 2019. Hospitalists manage and coordinate all aspects of inpatient care, work closely with specialists and oversee daily treatment.

Racheal Smith, M.D., is the new medical director of emergency services. She brings a decade of experience in emergency medicine, including Branson and Springfield. She oversees clinical direction and administrative leadership for the emergency department, emergency medical services and stroke services.

Jessica Stegner, M.D.

Jessica Stegner, M.D.

Family medicine physician Jessica Stegner, M.D., is now accepting new patients at Bolivar Family Care Center. She attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, and completed the family medicine residency program at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland, Michigan.
