CMH's first baby of 2026!

Benjamin, Annie and Mitchell Denney

Citizens Memorial Hospital welcomed its first baby of the new year with the birth of a baby boy, Benjamin Mitchell Denney.


Benjamin was born at the CMH Birth Place at 2:04 a.m., Jan. 2, to Mitchell and Annie (Roberts) Denney of Morrisville. He weighed 8 lb. 2 oz. and measured 23 inches long. Benjamin arrived one week early and is the couple’s first child.


Grandparents are Robert and Suzie Denny of Strafford and Alan and Tammy Roberts of Bolivar.


Benjamin was delivered by Shelly Meents, M.D., who practices at CMH OB/GYN Clinic in Bolivar and was on call for Ashley Lane, D.O.

Nephrology Clinic is open in new location

The CMH Nephrology Clinic is now open in the CMH Dialysis Center at 1160 W. Parkview Street, Bolivar. Dr. Russell Davis, board certified and fellowship-trained nephrologist, diagnoses and treats diseases related to the kidneys. Dialysis treatment options include in-center hemodialysis, home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

Memory screenings at Mo. Memory Center

Missouri Memory Center at CMH conducts free memory screenings on the third Friday of each month by appointment only. These screenings take about 20 minutes and are performed by trained staff. You will have your results immediately and will be able to share them with your primary clinician. Please call 417-327-3530 to schedule an appointment.

Are you planning to be more physically active this year? If you are 55 or older and live in Polk or surrounding counties, the CMH Senior Fitness Center is the place for you! The workout facility is designed for people ages 55 and older — and is a great way to meet new friends and socialize. Best of all, memberships are FREE.


The center has a variety of exercise equipment to help you move and maintain muscle mass. Other services include a pool, hot tub and fitness classes that focus on flexibility, balance and strength.


Staying active is one of the best ways to protect your health as you get older. Regular movement can help slow or prevent many age-related health problems.
